Looks like you were one of the lucky few who were able to buy this piffling precious stone early on. Congrats on that. I picked mine upwards today and I must say that it is probably the best $150 I've spent in a very long time. Information technology's the happiest I've been with a gadget purchase since scoring a BNIB 32GB HP TouchPad for $99 during the firesale. With that said, I hope to see more people coming to the forum with interest in the device. We tin only speculate, merely I would imagine this low-toll and feature rich tablet will go the attending of at least a few developers and we'll get more info then. Every bit for what I have been able to obtain, I'm stuck at the aforementioned roadblock equally you lot. I'm bumping this thread for further interest.

I agree. Best spent $150 in a long while. Seems merely as fast every bit my gs4.
Only cons are the screen and bulk, but for the toll its a steal!!!
Hopefully it gets back up for updates from hisense or the great xda devs first playing with this beast.

Root for this is needed, stat !!! ;)

I simply picked ane of these up on the way to work this forenoon. Information technology is sitting on my desk charging as I am trying to get some work out of the way before I turn it on. I volition be replacing a Kindle with this and just from eyeballing it my Kindle Seido case may be a perfect fit. I will test it this night. Information technology besides appears that a Kindle screen protector will work for it also. I would approximate the Nexus vii or other seven" protectors will work also, simply I can use a ruler and verify the Kindle i since I already have that device.

Have you tried using the motochopper tool from djrbliss?

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2233852

I would first with trying the root exploits that work on the Nexus 7 (Like chip prepare?) and Android 4.2.

I don't accept this tablet, so I accept not tested to encounter if this does in fact piece of work.

Random question, since this is the only thread nearly the Sero 7 Pro I've found.
How are the speakers? I have a Kindle Fire HD and I am pondering virtually the switch...
Also, tin this back up 64GB microSDs?

As well, I've heard reports of flawed Sero Pros popping up.
Does anyone have any firsthand experiences with how this tablet'south holding up?

Thanks in advance!

The speakers a actually pretty loud. I was watching movies on it final nighttime and was satisfied with the sound.

I saw some random comments (in the comments section) on various articles nearly this tablet but they all seem to be written by the same person based on the writing style and content.

Mine is holding up peachy. No issues at all and is as enjoyable every bit using my galaxy s4 merely with a bigger screen. I'm testing out the battery today to run into how long she lasts. If she lasts me the whole solar day of heavy apply, she's a keeper.

But picked up the Pro today, haven't opened information technology yet. As mentioned higher up, with the 15 days from Wally, I'll wait a bit to see if any devs selection it upwards. I have to say it does look similar a terrific deal for the specs and if there is some XDA honey for it, I'll give my GTab 2 to my wife.

I'll be searching this forum daily to meet what shakes downwardly.
@tharien,

First location I went to, walked in and went correct to the display case, saw the Lite and Pro. Asked the nearest associate to open the case, checked out and left. Took less than v minutes. :)

Good to hear. I was also waiting to run into if devs option it up because I was looking for a tab for my married woman and girl. But don't want to hang them out with one that would be unsupported. Let us know how hdmi works as my married woman would want that for work.

I have a class 10 Sandisk 64GB microsdxc card in my sero seven pro. It is not formatted equally exFat since it came from a GS3 running a custom ROM.

As far as I know, this is a new Tablet. 7 inch Nvidia Terga3 1.3ghz quad core with 1gig of ram/8gb ROM. NFC, Bluetooth 3.0, 802.11a/b/grand/north 2.4ghz and 5ghz, front end and rear facing cameras, 5 and 2 megapixels respectively, GPS amd mini HDMI. Jelly Edible bean iv.2. It's a decent lilliputian tablet.

The problem is getting it rooted. Recovery mode is attainable and I've only been able to choice up the serial number via ADB when attempting to update from ADB in recovery. Any other time, I go nothing. Whatever advice on how to proceed? Thank you in advance for any help y'all tin provide!

How were yous able to get feedback in recovery mode? I can't get ADB to run into the device at all. I tried using the Nexu 7 ADB drivers as well as a raw set. I can only get Windows to run across information technology, withal that'due south an easy affair when forcing a driver.

I as well tried fastboot - Windows sees it equally the Nvidia tegra 3 Fastboot connection, so I'm starting to think we demand the real driver from Hisense unless nosotros can discover a generic alternative.

Device Director shows (! - M470BSA) and once again under portable devices correctly as a media device.

The Vendor ID is 109B which comes back to Gemlight Computers Ltd which mfg USB for OEMs.

edit - Hisense does not have anything for this tablet on either their international site or their United states site bated from a press kit.

I believe you're right about needing the ADB drivers from Hisense, hopefully over the next few days, it volition materialize on their site. I guess they felt we needed to download their presskit instead of drivers or firmware.

Anyway, perhaps it's worth trying Koush's Universal ADB drivers? Perchance ane in the list will piece of work with this.
