Yeah, been there. Yous tin effort ejecting and cleaning the disc but when I had what seems to be exactly the aforementioned problem I swapped out the failed Gen2/3 nav drive unit for a Gen 4 out of a wrecked '07 LC and was good to go. There are plenty of nav drive units available on eBay etc every bit they are common beyond many platforms and model years. Going from Gen two/iii to Gen 4 you loose the phonation command control and I can't seem to go the Gen 4 moving vehicle override to piece of work only everything else is normal.
Thanks for the input. Looks like the drive is common to a lot of the Lexus models. I'll see if I can pick one upward off of eBay. It looks like I will demand to upgrade the DVD too.

A unit of measurement from either a Toyota or Lexus will work - same part number - the Lexus or Toyota screen play on start up resides in the HMI so the vehicle doesn't differentiate where the donor bulldoze came from. As mentioned I have an LC unit of measurement with Toyota disc in my Lx only information technology withal does the 60 thing on starting time up. Yes, you'll demand a Gen iv disc of the advisable release (evidently firmware release updates aren't backward compatible) if you upfit a Gen iv Bulldoze.
Thanks again. Do you lot recall the proper number or is it dependent on the drive?

86841-50090 is the unit I fitted. It nevertheless had the nav dvd in information technology, which I haven't inverse out, so didn't need to worry about any apparent astern compatibility problems with the firmware updates associated with an updated map dvd. If yous google "toyota/Lexus Gen iv nav dvd" yous'll get the OE function number for the latest and last release which is 2015 map data iirc. Plenty of aftermarket dvd options besides for much cheaper than OE if you desire to roll the die.Thank you once more. Exercise you recollect the proper number or is it dependent on the bulldoze?

Definitely effort ejecting the disk before buying a new unit. I received the same bulletin a couple weeks back and ejecting and cleaning the deejay solved the problem.
Great proffer. I took out the DVD and it had a weird ring-shaped smudge close to the within of the DVD. Cleaned that off and it seems to be working for now.

Under that slide y'all moved is the eject push button. Did you button it?
Mine also gave errors in common cold weather, either no disc or damaged disc. It would get-go working again after driving a while. I replaced my Gen 3 with a used Gen four drive from eBay and at present it works fine.
